Welcome to TwineDay. By using our app, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. What TwineDay Is

TwineDay is a family calendar app that helps you:

• Organise family schedules and events
• Coordinate who's doing what (pickups, activities, appointments)
• Track wellness activities (supplements, breaks, mindful time)
• Convert voice commands and documents into calendar events (Smart plan)

TwineDay is based in the United Kingdom.

2. Your Account

Creating an Account

• You must provide accurate information (name and email)
• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
• You're responsible for keeping your password secure
• One person, one account (no sharing login details)

Your Responsibilities

• Keep your account information up to date
• Don't use TwineDay for anything illegal
• Don't attempt to access other users' data
• Don't interfere with the app's operation

Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You can delete your account at any time through Profile → Legal & Data → Delete account.

3. Plans and Pricing

Free Plan

• Unlimited events
• Unlimited families and members
• Wellness tracking
• Labels and filters
• Clash detection

Smart Plan – £19.99/year or £3.49/month

Everything in Free, plus:

• Assign events to family members
• Voice input (30 per month)
• Document scanning (5 per month)
• Daily briefing notifications

Free Trial

New users get a 7-day free trial of the Smart plan. Your payment method will be charged at the end of the trial unless you cancel.

4. Payments and Subscriptions

• Payments are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store
• TwineDay never sees your payment card details
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
• Cancel anytime through your device's subscription settings
• No partial refunds for unused time (this is Apple/Google policy)
• Price changes will be notified in advance

5. Voice and Document Features

The Smart plan includes AI-powered features:

• Voice input: Speak to create events. Uses OpenAI's Whisper for transcription and Google's Gemini for understanding.
• Document scanning: Take a photo of school letters, invitations, etc. to extract events.

6. Family Features

• The person who creates a family is the admin
• Admins can invite members, add children, and manage the family
• Members can see and create family events
• Members can leave a family at any time
• Admins can remove members
• Children's profiles are for display only – children don't have accounts

7. Your Content

• You own all the data you put into TwineDay
• You grant us permission to store and display your data to provide the service
• You can export or delete your data at any time
• We don't use your personal calendar data for advertising

8. What We Promise (and Don't)

We Promise To

• Keep your data secure
• Provide reasonable uptime (though outages happen)
• Give you notice before major changes
• Delete your data when you ask

We Don't Promise

• The app will be available 100% of the time
• AI features will be perfectly accurate
• Features will never change

9. Limitation of Liability

In plain English:

• TwineDay is provided "as is"
• We're not responsible if you miss an appointment because of a bug
• Our maximum liability is limited to what you've paid us in the last 12 months
• We're not liable for indirect damages or lost profits

10. Changes to These Terms

• We may update these terms occasionally
• Significant changes will be notified via email or in-app
• Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms
• If you disagree with changes, you can delete your account

11. Governing Law

• These terms are governed by English law
• UK and EU residents can bring claims in their local courts
• Australian residents can bring claims in Australian courts
• US residents agree to jurisdiction in England, except where prohibited by local law
